Biographical Sketch (1998):856 "Frances Miller, born May 30, 1821, married
Augustus Klipfel Feb. 24, 1839, Allen County.
He was born Jan. 1, 1810
in Hausen by Schonungen, Bavaria to Joseph and Margaret Klüpfel. He died April 3, 1851 Pusheta Township and Frances married second to John Rammelmeyer July 16, 1853 Auglaize County. Frances died Jan. 14, 1860 Wapakoneta and John died Feb. 18, 1899 Piqua, Ohio. I am a bit skeptical of the birthdates I have for Michael and Frances Miller. They are only 10 months apart, which may be physically possible, but there is nonetheless unlikely. I got these dates by calculating the ages on their headstones, so I can easily believe they may be a bit off."
1821 Birth: Assume that age at death listed in
Auglaize County Cemetery Inscriptions171, v. 2, bk. 2, p. 293, 295. as 28 years 7 months 15 days is incorrect. Calculation of birthdate from age at death as given on tombstone yields birthdate of May 30, 1831. If that were true, Franciska would have been 8 years old at the time of her marriage to Augustus in 1839.
472 Her birthdate in 1850 U.S. census was 27 and in the 1860 U.S. census was 40, making a birth date in the early 1820s likely. Steinke
29 gives birth date as 30 May 1821.
