2001 Obituary:2743 Goldia M. Klipfel, 85, a longtime resident of Beulah, passed away Feb. 26, 2001, in Canon City, joining her late and beloved husband, Beverly. Goldia was born to the union of Ivan and Ollie Hankla, Jan. 17, 1916, and spent her childhood growing up in the Burnt Mill area. Goldia was a 1933 graduate of Centennial High School in Pueblo. She often reminisced about her school days and fondly remembered her hard-earned, scholastic achievements, including many spelling bee awards. In 1934, Goldia married Beverley Klipfel in Canon City and they built their home in Beulah, the same home in which Goldia lived the remainder of her life. Goldia will always be remembered for the remarkable works she could create with her hands, from the beautiful gardens in her yard to her State Fair Champion needlepoint artwork.
