1925 Obituary:354 Paralysis Claims Esteemed Woman. Mrs. Christian Nuss Dies At her Home Southeast of the city Thursday Afternoon - Funeral Saturday Morning. Mrs. Minnie (Philomena) Nuss, wife of Chris Nuss, well known farmer residing southeast of the city in Pusheta Township, passed away at her home at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 1925. Death was due to paralysis, Mrs. Nuss having suffered from a stroke four months ago. The deceased was a native of Pusheta Township, a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Wehner. Mrs. Nuss was the mother of four children who survive with her husband. A. N. Nuss, Troy; Mrs. Gus Luma, Kalida; Mrs. Eugene Byrne, Wapakoneta; and Mrs. Frank Pohlabelm, Lima. Eighteen grandchildren also survive. Brothers and sisters surviving are: John Wehner, Wapakoneta; George Wehner, St. Marys; Joseph Wehner, Piqua; and Mrs. R. Dennis McAullif, North Vernon, Ind. Funeral services Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church were the deceased was a faithful and lifetime member. Burial in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
