Biographical Sketch (1995):736, v. 1, p. 346. "Jacob Schnebeli, b. c 1700, Ibersheim. He was first taxed in Lancaster County in 1727. He was naturalized in 1729 which means he arrived in Pennsylvania by 1717 (possibly with his sister). He died in 1781 at Lampeter Twp., Lancaster County. He was married to Veronica. He wrote his will 6 May 1776 and it was proved 5 May 1782. He could write and signed his name to his will as Jacob Schnebli. The executors of his will were his friends John Burkholder and Henry Good, both Mennonites. He owned 200 acres in Lampeter Twp. He was a Mennonite and according to his inventory he owned a Bible and a History of the Martyrs."
