1951 Obituary in Daily Times News:3027 Mrs. Frances C. Bitler, who has been residing with a brother in Shelbyville, Indiana since suffering a heart attack some months ago, died April 30, 1951 in Shelbyville. Mrs. Bitler was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church in Mt. Pleasant and the Rebekah lodge. She is best known to many as the woman who sold Christmas cards and gay wrappings during the holiday season. Mrs. Bitler was born Dec. 8, 1875 in Auglais [sic] county, Ohio. She had resided here for 20 years. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Stinson Funeral home with the Rev. Stanley Kirn officiating. Burial will be in Riverside, in Mount Pleasant, Isabella County, Michigan.
