1965 Obituary:301 Joseph H. Wehner Rites Wednesday. Joseph Henry Wehner, 84, formerly of Piqua, died at 8 a.m. Sunday in St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, where he had been a patient for two days. Mr. Wehner died of injuries received in a fall off the front porch at 732 W. Central, Toledo, where he had resided the past three years with his sister, Matilda Stair. Born in Fryburg, Ohio, July 4, 1880, he was a son of Michael and Catherine Gurstner Wehner. His wife, the former Rose Kokenge, died Dec. 23, 1961 and he had resided with the sister in Toledo since that time. He was a member of St. Boniface Church here. A resident of Piqua most of his life, Mr. Wehner was a butcher by trade. He had retired 15 years ago after 20 years with the former Braun Bros. of Troy and prior to that had been employed by the Val Decker Co. here 20 years. A son, Edward Joseph, preceded him in death. The Rev. Fr. A. C. Monter will intone the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Boniface Church with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
