Skilled as plasterers, they contributed to the architectural beauty of the city of Fort Wayne, before moving to Cass County, Michigan shortly after 1860. Son Augustus Cannady, a saloon proprietor, died in Fort Wayne in 1877, leaving a widow and five children: Mary Cannady, Frank Cannady, Emma Cannady, George Cannady, and Flora Cannady.

Musser - John Musser was listed in the 1878 Fort Wayne city directory as "Musser, John, works spoke factory, boards W. M. Cutler."
