Biographical Sketch (1967):2475 Adam Glore "married Margaret Crisler (Christler) about 1770, sister of Leonard Crisler who married Margaret Clore."
Birth Date: Yowell in "The First Four Generations of the Clore-Glore Family in America"
2475 indicates that Nathan, the oldest child of Adam Glore and Margaret Chrisler was born about 1772. If this is the case, Margaret's birth was probably closer to 1750 than 1760, as given by Kirkwood
2474, p. 475. in
They Came to Kentucky. This estimate is further supported by the 1830 census enumeration
2478 which indicates a female between the ages of 80 to 90 living in the household of Adam Glore. This would indicate a birth between 1740 and 1750.
1810 U.S. Census:2476 Margaret Crisler is probably the female over age 45 enumerated in the household of Adam Glore in Campbell County, Kentucky. In addition to Adam, two males under 10 and one male age 10 to 15 also resided in the household as did four females under the age of 10, one female between 10 and 15, and one female age 26 to 44. Two other free persons and seven slaves were also enumerated.
1820 U.S. Census:2477 No female over the age of 45 was enumerated in Adam Glore's household in Covington Township, Campbell County, Kentucky. The household consisted of one male under 10, a male over age 45 who is assumed to be Adam, and a female age 26 to 45. Six slaves were also enumerated. Perhaps Margaret was visiting a child and was enumerated elsewhere or perhaps she was miscounted as the female age 26 to 45.
1830 U.S. Census:2478 Margaret Crisler is most likely the female between 80 and 90 years of age in the household of Adam Glore in Campbell County, Kentucky. Adam assumed to be the one male between 80 and 90. Son Nathaniel Glore and his family resided nearby.
Death Date:2474, p. 476. Margaret was apparently enumerated in the Glore household in 1830, but not mentioned in Adam Glore's will written in January 1835. Death is likely to have occurred between 1830 and 1835.
