Mrs. Alice Gleason Ryder, of Chicago, a former resident of Wilmington, passed from this life Wednesday, July 12. Mrs. Ryder was the widow of the late Andrew Ryder. She was 82 years of age. Surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. George Carrothers and Mrs. George Kennedy [i.e. Cannady], both of Chicago. Funeral services will be held in the Wilmington Methodist Church on Friday afternoon, July 14, at 2 o’clock. Rev. G. C. Steinhart will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot in Oakwood Cemetery.
