1911 Obituary:2094 Published in an unidentified Auglaize County newspaper on 2 February 1911: "Former Auglaize Countian. Died at Bradford Sunday and Remains Were Brought Back to Auglaize County for Burial at St. Johns. Andrew Waggoner, who died Sunday (i.e. 29 January 1911) at Bradford, was brought to this city Wednesday morning over the C.H. and D. and was taken to St. Johns, where the funeral services were held in the Christian Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial took place in St. Johns Cemetery. Mr. Waggoner at death was eighty-six years old and was one of the pioneer residents of this county. His early life was spent in the vicinity of St. Johns. Shortly after the Civil War he moved to this city and later moved to St. Marys, where his two surviving sons, Charles and Daniel Waggoner, now reside. His wife who preceded him in death several years ago, was a sister of Mrs. Arch Mertz, who resides on East Auglaize street in this city.
