1850 U.S. Census:1636 Stillman enumerated in the household of his father William Morey in Moulton Township, Auglaize County, Ohio as a male, age 6, born in Ohio. Six siblings (Andrew, Wilson, Clarinda, Martin, Ephraim, and Matilda) also resided in the household.

1860 U.S. Census:544 Stillman enumerated in the household of his widowed mother Rebecca Morey in Logan Township, Auglaize County, Ohio as a male, age 15. Five siblings (Clarinda, Martin, Ephraim, Matilda, and Cyrus) also resided in the household.

1870 U.S. Census:1010 Stillman enumerated in the household of his widowed mother Rebecca Morey in Logan Township, Auglaize County, Ohio as a male, age 25, farmer. Sister Matilda also resided in the household.

1908 Obituary:258 Funeral of S. S. Morey held Sunday afternoon. Services were held in the Two Mile Christian Church and Interment was made in the Wheeler cemetery. The funeral services of S. S. Morey, who died at his home at Two Mile Thursday afternoon were held at the Two Mile Christian Church Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. J. H. Culler, of this city, officiating, assisted by Rev. House, of Defiance. Interment was made in the Wheeler cemetery.

S. S. Morey was born and reared in Auglaize county. For the past several years he was a sufferer from stomach trouble, and, although he was able to be out, he has been gradually failing in health. On Wednesday of this week his condition became worse and resulted in his death Thursday. He was united in marriage to Agnes Hoopingarner who together with six children (four sons, Ernest Morey of Oklahoma, Clarence Morey, of Lima, and Arthur and Jay Morey, of Two Mile, and two daughters, Miss Matilda Morey and Mrs. Carrie Fritz, of Lima) survive. Three brothers, Martin Morey, of Iowa, Wilson Morey, of Chicago, and A. J. Morey, of Washington, D.C., and one sister, Mrs. George Bear, of Gridley, Kansas, survive.

1908 Obituary:259 S. S. Morey. S. S. Morey, one of the best known farmers in the community known as Two Mile, north of Wapakoneta, died last Thursday, January 30th, at the hour of twelve o'clock, noon. He had been ill for several years with stomach trouble, and the immediate cause of his death was an abscess of the stomach.

The deceased was born February 12, 1845, and had consequently lived to the age of 62 years, 11 months and 18 days. At the age of seven he was left fatherless and resided with his mother until his marriage to Miss Agnes Hoopingarner on January 6, 1876. To this union eight children were born, viz: Lola Morey, now deceased; Clarence F. Morey, of Lima; Clara Morey, now deceased; Earnest E. Morey, of Red Fork, Oklahoma; Mrs. H. F. Fritz, of Lima; Matilda, Arthur and Jay Morey. He is survived by his wife, four brothers — A. J. Morey, of Washington, D.C., W. S. Morey, of Chicago, Illinois; M. V. Morey, of Grand Junction, Iowa; and C. Z. Morey, of Spencerville — and one sister, Mrs. George Bear, of Gridley, Kansas.

Mr. Morey has always resided at the old homestead in Logan Township, and he was well known to every person in that community. He was a kind and devoted husband and father and was highly esteemed by everybody. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon, services being conducted in the Wheeler church by Rev. J. H. Culler, of this city, and Rev. Howe, pastor of the Wheeler church. Interment in Wheeler cemetery.
