1862 Volunteer Enlistment Form:184 Signed by Ephraim Morey with his mark on August 29, 1862, lists age as 17 years 11 months and states he was born in Auglaize County, Ohio.

Where born Auglaize Co., Ohio; age 18 years; occupation blacksmith; when enlisted Aug. 29, 1862; where enlisted Lima, O., for what period enlisted 3 years. Eyes blue; hair fair; complexion fair; height 5 ft 7 in. When mustered in Oct. 2, 1862; where mustered in Camp Lima, Ohio. Bounty paid $25.00. Remarks: Premium paid $4.00.

Ferguson; term 3 years. Remarks: Mortally wounded May 30, 1864 in front of Dallas, Ga. Died at Ackworth, Ga., June 8, 1864. Lopez, copyist.

Overmyer, Company G of the 81st Regiment of Ohio Infantry Volunteers, who was enrolled as a Private at St. Mary's in the State of Ohio on the 24th day of August 1862, and mustered into the service of the United States as a Private on the 29th day of October 1862, at Lima, Ohio in Company G, 81st Regiment of Ohio Infantry Volunteers, to serve three years of during the war; he was born in Auglaize County in the State of Ohio; he was 18 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a blacksmith; he died in Division Hospital near Dallas, Georgia on the 8th day of June 1864, by reason of wounds received in action.
