Siblings in the household were Frank, age 17, and Margaret, age 14. A lodger, W. H. McCord, age 25, also resided in the household.

1930 U.S. Census:2669 Maude enumerated in the household of her widowed mother Margaret Bay in Gary, Lake County, Indiana as a daughter, female, white, 35, single, can read and write, born in Illinois, father born in Iowa, mother born in Iowa, stenographer at Gary Post office, works for wages, is employed. Brother Frank and his wife Mary also resided in the household as did three roomers, Charles Darnell, age 55, and brothers Lester and Waldorf Burke, ages 25 and 19 respectively.
