1918 Obituary:2043 Death of a Pioneer. William Frame. Resident of This Community for Many Years Dead. Friday, October 11. William Frame, a pioneer resident of Laporte County, died this morning at his home in Coolspring township about six miles southwest of Michigan City. Death was due to complicaitons incident to advanced age. William Frame was 78 years old June 25 last and was the son of John Frame, who came here in early days, bought a thousand or so acres in Laporte and Porter counties, which later he subdivided among his several children. Younger Frame of Pine township, Porter County, who died a few years ago was one of these children. He was married July 4, 1860 to Mary Anderson, the widow who survives. The surviving children are George and James Frame living at home. One brother, Lyman Frame, of Pine township, is the last surviving member of the older generation. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10 o’clock from the family home, with burial at Eight Square church cemetery. It is expected Rev. Briggs of Chesterton will conduct the services.
