wife was Susan Taylor, born in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, August 14, 1836; married Nov. 30, 1856; twelve children, ten living."
Family Remembrance:1302, p. 18. "John and Sarah Barton Taylor were the parents of eleven children, nine sons and two daughters. Four sons died in infancy; they were Joseph, Eli, Elias, and Abram. The other children lived long and useful lives with the exception of Susan who died rather young although she was the mother of 4 sons and 5 daughters. She had gone to Iowa to help nurse her brother, Levi, through a siege of typhoid fever, came home, became ill, and died of typhoid fever also. Levi recovered. Susan was the wife of George Hensel."
