1862 Marriage:960 On 29 November 1862, Ann Devoe witnessed the marriage of August Canada, age 20, and Mary A. Grojean, age 15, in Cass County, Michigan. The marriage was held at the home of Sophia Bunn in Calvin Township. Ann Devoe is believed to be the M. A. Devoe enumerated in the household of J. Bunn in 1860, born Martha Ann Bunn. Martha Ann was the aunt of August Cannady; Sophia Bunn was his grandmother.

1864 Marriage:1825 "This is to certify that I joined in marriage at my residence in Calvin Township on the 29th day of December 1864 Leason Grady of the Township of Porter, County of Cass, and State of Michigan, aged 23 years and Martha A. Bunn of the Township of Calvin, County and State aforesaid, aged 26 years and there was present as witnesses Emily Cannady of Porter and Charles Bunn of Calvin, County and State aforesaid. Levi J. Reynolds, Justice of the Peace." Even though they are only six years apart in age, Emily Cannady is the niece of Martha A. Bunn, daughter of Jeremiah and Sophia Bunn.
