Evidence of Relationship:2024 In 1863 court documents concerning the Bitler land dispute in 1863 and 1874, Thomas Bitler testified, "I knew Elizabeth and Hannah Bitler. They were my sisters. I can’t say whether they lived at home at the time the land was surveyed. I know they lived at home when it was divided. I sold them a piece of land. One of the sisters was married about the time the land was surveyed. Hannah was married . . . "

Evidence of Relationship:2024 In 1863 court documents concerning the Bitler land dispute in 1863 and 1874, Samuel Rupert testified, "Old John Bitler had three daughters. Sallie who was married at time land was taken up. Hannah and Elizabeth lived at home and wove. Had a loom in the house and wove for the families."

Family Remembrance2028 In 1874 John Ruppert, born in 1803 and married in 1827 to a daughter of John Wolf Bitler, testified, "Hannah and Elizabeth, after the death of their father, lived with Mark Bitler, who lived with his father. Then Hannah and Elizabeth moved into a piece of land which they claimed to be their own. Hannah got married and went off. She moved to Orwigsburg." He also testified that, "Hannah got married in 1827 or 1830 and moved to Orwigsburg."

1832 Baptism of Nephew Daniel:2147, p. 10. On 27 May 1832 Samuel Ruppert and Hannah Bitler sponsored the baptism of Daniel Bitler at St. Paul's or Old "White" Church at Ringtown, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; Daniel was the son of Hannah's brother John Bitler and his wife Maria.
