Family Remembrance:1866 "I do have information about Peter Musser’s descendants through his son John (1770-1845) . Any printed genealogies of this line usually indicate a dead end with this John Musser, but we would certainly like to complete the history of this branch of the family for anyone who is interested.
. . . John Musser, who with his wife Mary (d. 1845) had ten children: John G., Hezekiah, Simon, Solomon, Polly, Nancy, Joseph, Eve, Elizabeth, Rebecca. Through the Caldwell County, Missouri census of 1840, 1850, and 1860 we have information about many of these children’s own families, occupations and approximate years of birth."
Biographical Sketch (1882):1229, v. 2, p. 202. "The oldest son, John, succeeded to the mill property, but after a few years removed to Missouri."
Biographical Sketch (1932):1372, p. 157. "John Musser, b. Feb. 9, 1770, moved from Pennsylvania to Columbiana County, probably with his father, as the latter’s will mentions the work which he and his brothers did in helping to improve new property. Records show John there in 1811. His wife’s name was Mary. He died in Clinton County, Missouri, Oct. 4, 1845. When he moved to Missouri is not known, though Columbiana deed records show him still in Columbiana County in 1831.
1372, p. 157. As his authority, Farley cites Columbiana deeds, vol. 15, p. 223. His descendants are unknown."
