Notes for Elisabeth LERCH
Biographical Sketch (1985):1513, p. 49. "Anna Elisabetha resided with her husband on a farm in Bern Township. She is buried by herself at Schwarzwald Church. Phillip moved to the city of Reading after her death and lived with a second wife named Margaretha. In his will proved 16 Oct 1811 he named seven children. Owing to the age of Anna Elisabetha when she died (nearly 60) and assuming that her husband was of about the same all, all the children in the will are probably hers."
1741 Baptism:2045, p. 212. As his authority, Humphrey cites the records of Tulpehocken Lutheran Church near Northkill, Jefferson Township, Berks County. 1766 Inheritance:1513, p. 23. Father Caspar Lerch bequeathed to "my daughter, Elisabeth Lark, alias Fox, the sum of 25 pounds money as aforesaid to be paid within 5 years as aforesaid."
