Biographical Sketch (2004):2749 "Linus Purdy (b. Darke around 1828) Linus married Amanda Hartman in 1848. She divorced him in 1871. Both Amanda and Linus were re-married. There is a reference to Linus marrying an Elmira Bitler in Wapakoneta. Linus was living with an Eliza J. in 1870 in Wapakoneta. (This is also the same place that Amanda testified that he was living). In 1880, there is a Linus living with a Mary and three older children - much too old to be his unless - well, no one wants to speak terribly of their grandfather :) I do not have a death date or location for him."
