He married Catherine ——. No record of John Jacob is obtainable further than that he purchased with his brother Daniel, the 125-acre farm owned by his father Michael Sr., in 1788.1372, p. 174. As his authority, Farley cites York County deeds, 2I-308. A Jacob Musser died in what is now Mahoning County, Ohio before 1813. He may have been this son of Michael, but the name of his only known child does not appear in the list of the Mahoning County Jacob’s heirs. This Jacob is likely the ‘Jacob Sr.,’ mentioned in the appraisal of the estate of Samuel. He was Samuel’s brother if he has been properly identified. Child: 1) Susannah, b. Aug. 6, 1791.1372, p. 174. As his authority, Farley cites the records of German Reformed Church in York Historical Society. Witness to baptism, Samuel and Maria Moser."

Biographical Sketch (1974):1887 "John Jacob (1756-?) was baptized at Christ Lutheran Church in York. He and his wife, Catherine, had a daughter Susannah baptized at the German Reformed Church. It is not clear if he participated in the family emigration to Western Pennsylvania / Ohio or not."
