Pennsylvania Society S. A. R.
History Lineage of Past & Present, p. 238 indicates Michael was married 1773, also states he was a Private, York County, Pennsylvania Militia."
Biographical Sketch (1932):1372, p. 163-164. "Michael Musser Jr., born about 1742, died 1811, married Mary Anna ——. Michael Jr.'s name appears with that of Michael Sr. in all York County records from 1779 until Michael Sr. disappears from the records about 1789. Both of them resided in
York Township. Michael and Mary Anna moved to Beaver County, Pennsylvania, in which county his will naming his son John was probated March 5, 1811.
1372, p. 164. As his authority, Farley cites Beaver County wills, A-35. Michael Jr. evidently joined the westward movement of the family after 1800, as his name appears for the last time in the U.S. census of that year in York County."

"The Third Battalion of Associators was organized in 1775 by Colonel Richard McAllister, of Hanover, who commanded the Second Pennsylvania Regiment of the Flying Camp, in which a large number of his men enlisted at Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in 1776. After the organization of the state militia, in 1777, the Third Battalion was commanded by Colonel David Jameson. Part of this Battalion served under Jameson at Germantown, White Marsh and minor engagements in 1777. It was organized in 1775 out of the Associators in the townships of Heidelberg, Berwick, Paradise, Mt. Pleasant, Manheim, and Germany." Michael Mosser listed as a Private in Capt. Jacob Beaver’s and in Capt. Christopher Lowman’s companies of the Third Battalion."
Biographical Sketch (1974):1887 Michael Jr. (1742?-1811) had a wife named Mary Anna. The emigrated to Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where his will (probated in 1811) revealed five children: John Michael, Catherine, Henrich, Abraham, and Juliana."
