Biographical Sketch (1997):855, p. 28-29. "Benjamin born 21 February 1795 in Bern; married (first) on February 15, 1825 to Sara Seaman of Bern Township. They had four children. In 1849, he married Mary Ann Heacock (a widow; maiden name unknown). Benjamin was a stonemason. As administrator of his father’s estate, Benjamin petitioned the court to have the land equally partitioned among surviving children. He died 20 December 1873. Benjamin has four children to each wife: William, Cornelius, Mary A., Ruben, Elmire, Sarah Jane, E. Franklin, and Wellington."
