Family Remembrance:630 "Again Mary Meyer's data has only this on Mary Jane: 'On 4 Sep 1846 Mary Jane Baughman quit claimed land in Franklin County to Henry Zinn for the sum of $10.00 paid by Henry Baughman of Allen Co. We have no further information.' In a Franklin County Marriage Index at the Ohio Historical society Library there is listed a marriage for a Mary Jane Baughman to a Levi Rhodes on 6 April 1848 (Franklin County Marriage Record Book 5, page 101). Whether this is the same Mary Jane as the one mentioned in the deed seems possible. I have never pursued the census records or land records which might help determine a relationship, if any. Since Mary Jane is not mentioned in the lawsuit from March 1851 perhaps she is no longer living at this time. Henry and Jesse (Jessiah) are not mentioned in this partition suit either. However, David had purchased apparently what was Henry [Jr.]'s share on 5 March 1851 and Jesse's share on 16 July 1850. Perhaps no one knew where Mary Jane was in June 1851 and she was not included in the partition of Henry's land for that reasons."
