Biographical Sketch (1908):361, v. 1, p. 162. "John Stratton is first mentioned in Watertown in 1652, though he is supposed to have come from England with his father. March 10, 1658, he married Elizabeth Traine, daughter of John and Margaret Traine of Watertown. She was born September 30, 1640, and died May 7, 1708."

1658 Marriage:773 "Married March 10, 1658 Margaret Traine, daughter of John and Margaret Traine, and had eight known children born at Watertown."
