1901 Obituary:2463 "Died Gerstner. At his home east of Freyburg this county on Thursday, 18 June 1901, after but a few hours illness, Mr. George Gerstner, aged about 56 years. The deceased was a native of Germany but emigrated to this country with his parents and located in this county when he was about seven years old. He was the father of nine (error) children all of whom together with his bosom companion, sharer of his joys and sorrows, survive him. The funeral took place on Thursday morning from the Catholic Church in Freyburg, and it was attended by a large concourse of people."
