Birth:236 IGI lists birth of Johann Baughman or Bachman on 27 Jan 1783 in Upper Saucon Township, Northampton, Pennsylvania, son of John George Baughman or Bachman and Barbara Steele. IGI record carries the name as Johannah, with a note that the sex was designated as male and acknowledges that the name and the sex do not match.
